Damn! Why's it taken me till now to hear this? Here's two tracks by the Swedish ambient duo, Carbon Based Lifeforms. The videos are nice too, I don't think they're official, but they work well.

Carbon Based Lifeforms - MOS 6581
I'm digging these two tracks so much I've just ordered both their albums off Ultimae.com. Have no idea what any of the other tunes sounds like, but I bet they're good. I'll write a review when they arrive, and have a fat chill, and listen to them while watching some of the IMAX films on Everest, or maybe Baraka. Can't wait for this coming week to be over and done with. I have to finish off one tune, and record another and mix them both by friday. I need a solid day in the studio tomorrow! So hopefully on the weekend I'll have some of my own stuff to show here.
Let me know if you dig the Carbon Based Lifeforms tracks as much as me, and if theres stuff to recommend then fire away!

oh my god - just chanced on CBL here thanks to a link on Subvert Central....
funny thing was i fell asleep looking at that link, and when i woke i'd landed on this page haha
Heard 'Photosynthesis', then went straight to Juno and bought the album ;-) Amazing, thanks for pointing me towards such heartfelt, larger than life music
Only similar stuff i could recommend (which i'm VERY sure you'll be aware of) would be Manual. Need to get much more educated about inspiring ambient stuff like this
Cheers again, maff :-)
Yes! thanks Maff. This is exactly why I do this blog. Keep spreading the word.
Check the Ultimae Records website for similar chillout, I think they call it 'arctic chill' for some reason cos its very synthy and minimal, good looking like pads etc.
You'd dig stuff by 'Aes Dana'.
also I've not heard of Manual, I'll check 'em out.
